Cape Fear Valley Health has acquired Wolinsky Primary Care and renamed the practice Cape Fear Valley Primary Care – Avon Street, bringing the long-established clinic into its regional health system network.

The clinic, located at 1315 Avon St., will continue operating at the same location, allowing patients to maintain relationships with their current providers while benefiting from additional systemwide resources. This includes expanded clinical services, technology and access to specialty care.

The practice is now part of Cape Fear Valley Health’s network of community-based clinics focused on preventive care, chronic disease management and long-term wellness.

“This transition strengthens our ability to serve patients more fully and more efficiently,” said Corporate Director of Operations for primary care at Cape Fear Valley Health Jennifer Ray in a press release. “Our goal is to preserve the personal relationships patients value while improving access to coordinated, high-quality care.”

The acquisition supports smoother referrals, improved communication among providers and a more seamless experience across the health system, while preserving the personal approach that Wolinsky Primary Care has been known for in the community.

Cape Fear Valley Primary Care – Avon Street provides routine physicals, wellness visits, management of chronic conditions and referrals to specialty providers when needed.
