Campbell University’s MAcc is the first in the nation to offer this educational opportunity

Sponsored Content provided by Dr. Pamela J. Strickland, CPA - Director, Master of Accountancy & Associate Professor of Accounting, Lundy-Fetterman School of Business, Campbell University

Campbell University’s Lundy-Fetterman School of Business offers students the nation’s first and only Master of Accountancy (MAcc) program with a concentration in Financial Planning and Taxation.

The Campbell MAcc program, offered both online and at our downtown Raleigh campus, provides a truly innovative curriculum by leveraging Campbell’s 50+ years as the national leader in Trust & Wealth education with the experience and knowledge of the accounting faculty to deliver a graduate program that builds the foundation for a successful career in accounting and a pathway to career advancement.

Graduates of the Campbell Master of Accountancy program will have met the educational requirements to sit for the Uniform CPA Examination® (CPA) and the Certified Financial Planner® (CFP) exam. This combination of academic and professional credentials will serve a population of students who aspire to stand out among their peers, who favor a differentiated educational experience and who wish to significantly increase academic and professional expertise.

The MAcc program is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Board Registered Program, has dedicated staff to assist with internships and job placement, and furnishes opportunities for networking and professional development. The Master of Accountancy at Campbell is designed to meet the needs of students who want to earn the MAcc degree but prefer a program that allows the flexibility needed for busy adults. Students may take courses in the evening at Campbell’s Law School (Raleigh campus), online, or a combination of both, allowing for maximum flexibility. With terms that are only eight weeks long, the 36-credit hour program can be completed in as quickly as one year, however a two-year graduation track is also available for those who prefer a slower pace.

The exceptional combination of academic and professional credentials will provide graduates a wide breadth of employment opportunities and fill an increasing need for accountants with a combination of accounting and financial planning expertise.

The mission of Campbell University is to graduate students with exemplary academic and professional skills who are prepared for purposeful lives and meaningful service. Together with Campbell’s MBA and Master of Trust and Wealth Management, the Master of Accountancy program demonstrates Campbell University’s continued commitment to this mission with graduate programs that prepare students for professional and leadership roles in business and industry.
