Experienced neurologist joins FirstHealth in Fayetteville

Mark Mandelbaum, M.D.

Board certified neurologist Mark Mandelbaum, M.D., has joined FirstHealth of the Carolinas and will see patients at the FirstHealth specialty clinic located at 3716 Morganton Road in Fayetteville.

 

Dr. Mandelbaum earned his bachelor’s degree at Brooklyn College in Brooklyn, New York and

went on to receive his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma. He completed his

medical internship at the University of Oklahoma before attending a neurology residency at the

University of Iowa.

 

“I’ve always been interested in psychology and how the brain worked,” Dr. Mandelbaum said in a press release. “I felt I could apply that interest in medicine and neurology.”

 

Prior to joining FirstHealth, he worked at the Hannibal Clinic in Hannibal Missouri. Earlier in

his career, Dr. Mandelbaum worked at clinics in North Carolina, including Blue Ridge

Neurology in Morganton. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, he and his wife, Christine,

moved back to North Carolina to be closer to their first grandchild.
